Updates the statement delivery preference (electronic or paper) for a single account after validating account‑level multi‑statement support (multiple account online statement preference selection), active user status, and acceptance of the required online statement disclosure.

Use this endpoint to:

  • Change statement delivery for an individual account when account‑level preferences are supported.
  • Save a user’s electronic statement vs paper choice after accepting or updating an online statement disclosure.
  • Update account‑specific statement preferences backed by the institution’s disclosure system.

Prerequisites:

  • Multi‑statement (multiple account online statement preference selection) support enabled for the institution.
  • The current user must be active.
  • An accepted online statement disclosure must exist for the specified account.
